Tender for the capacity reserve 2024 - 2026 - Bid deadline: December 1, 2023

Interested parties can apply electronically for the provision of the capacity reserve from October 2024 in accordance with Section 11 of the Capacity Reserve Regulation by submitting guarantees.

The invitation to tender will be issued electronically from 01.09.2023 via the Negometrix tendering platform.

• Scope of the reserve capacity: 2,000 MW
• Participation requirements: Participation requirements for the procurement of capacity reserve for the bidding date December 1, 2023
• Maximum value: 100,000 €/MW/a
• Performance period: 01.10.2024 00:00 - 30.09.2026 24:00
• Dealing with the provision of security: As the transmission system operators (TSOs) have not made any provisions in accordance with Section 10 (4) KapResV, security must be provided by submitting guarantees. The guarantee form to be used is provided via the Negometrix allocation platform. The provisions of Section 11 of the Standard Terms and Conditions apply.
• Standard terms and conditions: Standard terms and conditions for capacity reserve facilities pursuant to Section 37 (1) no. 1 KapResV for the conclusion of contracts between the connecting transmission system operator and the bidders awarded contracts in the procurement procedure.
• Format requirements for submitting bids: Bids must be submitted electronically via the Negometrix tendering platform. Original guarantees must also be sent by post. The format specifications of the TSOs must be adhered to. If documents are made available on the tendering platform, only these documents are to be used to submit bids.

Specifications of the Federal Network Agency:

• In its decision of 25.10.2022, the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) decided (file number 4.12.05.03/6) that the bidding date for the third performance period of the capacity reserve tendering procedure (01.10.2024 to 30.09.2026) will be postponed from 01.04.2023 to 01.12.2023. • The Federal Network Agency's decision of 05.05.2021 on the amendment of the participation requirements and the award procedure for the capacity reserve tender from the second provision period onwards (ref. 4.12.05.03/003) also applies to the provision period 01.10.2024 to 30.09.2026.
