In the administrative procedure BK6-18-289, the Federal Network Agency approved the transmission system operators' proposals on the provisions for the suspension and resumption of market activities and the provisions for settlement in the event of a suspension of market activities on 4 August 2020.

December 18, 2018 - News: Application submitted and documents published
The application for provisions for the suspension and resumption of market activities and provisions for billing in the event of a suspension of market activities has been submitted by the TSOs to the Federal Network Agency. The provisions and the accompanying document were published together with the consultation report. The comments of the market participants were also published with the corresponding justification of the TSOs.
November 08, 2018 - News: Consultation completed
The consultation on provisions for the suspension and resumption of market activities and provisions for settlement in the event of a suspension of market activities was conducted from 08.10.2018 12:00 noon to 08.11.2018 12:00 noon and has now ended. Participation in the consultation is therefore no longer possible. The TSOs will immediately begin evaluating the comments in order to finalize and submit the application to the Federal Network Agency. 08.10.2018 - News: Consultation started
Background
On December 18, 2017, the "Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2196 of November 24, 2017 establishing a Network Code on Electricity Emergency and Restoration of the Transmission System" (hereinafter referred to as Network Code Electricity Emergency and Restoration, or NC ER) entered into force.
Against this background, the German transmission system operators (TSOs) are obliged to consult all affected market players on a proposal for the provisions for the suspension and resumption of market activities and the provisions for settlement in the event of a suspension of market activities in accordance with Article 7 NC ER, which must ultimately be approved by the competent regulatory authority in accordance with Article 4 (2) NC ER.
In this respect, the German transmission system operators will consult the provisions for the suspension and resumption of market activities and the provisions for settlement in the event of a suspension of market activities in accordance with the NC ER from 8 October 2018.
Consultation procedure
With the start of the consultation process, the TSOs have published on this website the proposal to be consulted on the provisions for the suspension and resumption of market activities and settlement in the event of a suspension of market activities. Please note that only this proposal is subject to consultation. The explanatory document serves only as an explanatory aid.
